you know ... I think Singapore needs an opposition to oppose the opposition ... a real middle ground ... between pappies and idiots the people don't have...

elindra SG

Oh he/she will go to playschool once he/she is old enough.

Btw, I'm not having a kid because I want someone to look after me when I'm old because I think with the current living standards, you might as well scrap the idea and be able to support your own retirement.

choco B SG

LOL
The lie every parent-to-be tells him/herself:

"Oh our kid won't be like THAT "

Fatum SG

choco B SG

av98m SG

Bring out a calculator, a pencil and a piece of paper. Estimate how much $$ is needed to bring all 3 of them up and put them through university. Make sure you factor in things like inflation. Very Happy Twisted Evil

Fatum SG

do i get tax relief for 3 kids ? .... Razz

elindra SG

We have to take care of ourselves when we are old and broke
Unless your kid is so successful that they belong to the elites
You can forget them supporting you Laughing

Ferret SG

Heyhey Mr. Green

av98m SG

Well, its not because I do not want kids but I do not want to bring them up in Singapore, and I also do not want them to serve NS.

The expense also puts me off. I want to be financially independent in my old age. Neutral

elindra SG

Actually just work out for one and x3.
The amount is ><

InnoHippo SG

no way ... when we are old and broke, our govt would force our kids to support us unless they manage to "fail" the means testing Neutral

choco B SG

Well there are economies of scale
Hand me down clothes, bottles, etc.
If you believe in nappies, those can be handed down too LOL

elindra SG

Btw if you look at NUS undergrad fees for 2006/2007:
